A championship does not become real because a graphic says so. It becomes real when the room can point to a player, a belt, a record, and a reason the next challenger should care.

Jim claiming the American National Title does exactly that. It gives the United States its first AoE2WAR banner and turns the national-champion system from an idea into a public record.

The belt is no longer theoretical. It has a holder. Now the room has a target.
